How to setup Topstep

We monitor your account based on your Metatrader 5 history. Be aware of the Topstep daily reset time, as your Maximum Loss Limit is reset at this time. For best results, we recommend configuring your EA at the daily reset time or just before trading a new day.

Daily Reset Time: 5:00 PM CST (Central Standard Time)

Maximum Loss Limit = Account Balance High - Maximum Drawdown (Trailing drawdown)

Daily Loss Limit = Net Profit & Loss for that trading day (5:00 PM CT-3:10 PM CT)

The daily loss limit for a 50K account is 1,000.

If we use the 50K account, we have a maximum drawdown of 2,000. We can identify that by a percent by 2,000 (total drawdown) / 50,000 (account size) = 0.04 or 4%.

You can decide if you want to enable a daily profit value or not (400 as show above). That is up to you. You can also decide to limit the amount of profit per trade ( false as shown here).
